  • request_consultation

    Write

    Request a free 30-minute call

Sends The Landing Company a request for a free 30-minute call with Campion Fellin, with the person’s name, email, problem description, and optionally company and availability. It does not book a time: the reply comes by email within one business day.

    Inputs

    • name · string · required · up to 120 characters. The person’s name.
    • email · string · required · up to 254 characters. Where to send the reply.
    • problem · string · required · up to 1,500 characters. A few sentences in the person’s words: what has been difficult, what they have tried, and what a good outcome looks like.
    • company · string · optional · up to 160 characters. Their company or organization, if they gave one.
    • availability · string · optional · up to 300 characters. Days, times and time zone that suit them, if they said.

    Returns

A confirmation that the request was sent and that no time is booked yet, or an error explaining what is missing or that the request could not be saved.

Side effects of requesting a call

  • request_consultation stores the name, email address, company, availability and problem description it is sent, with the time, so we can reply. It does not book a time, create a calendar event, send an email, or take payment.
  • We reply by email within one business day to arrange the call.
  • It is not idempotent: calling it twice sends two requests. Assistants should confirm the details with the person before calling it, and call it once.
  • If it returns an error, nothing was saved, so it is safe to try again.
  • Values longer than the limits above are cut off at the limit.

Errors

  • Tool problems, such as a missing email address, an unknown guide or a storage failure, come back as a normal result with isError: true and a message saying what to do.
  • Protocol errors use JSON-RPC codes: -32700 unparseable JSON (HTTP 400), -32600 invalid request, -32601 unknown method, -32602 unknown tool.
  • Bodies over 64 KB are refused with HTTP 413.
  • Notifications are acknowledged with HTTP 202 and no body.

Limits

No rate or usage limits beyond normal hosting limits. Request bodies are limited to 64 KB, and request fields to the lengths listed above.
