FAQ
Straight answers to common questions.
What we do, who it’s for, who you’ll work with, and how to start.
Do I need an independent technology consultant or a larger firm?
It depends on the problem. If you have one specific, difficult problem, such as a stalled project, a system that keeps failing, or a big technical decision, an independent consultant who does the engineering is usually the better fit: you get senior judgment and hands-on work without paying for a larger team. If you need many engineers for months of new development, or round-the-clock support, a larger agency or staffing firm is the better choice.
What does The Landing Company of Madison Park do?
It is an independent engineering consultancy in Seattle. It finds and fixes the cause of recurring failures, makes business-critical systems more reliable, gets stalled projects finished, and gives teams senior engineering leadership. It does the engineering work, not only the advice.
Who is it for?
CTOs, founders, and engineering leaders with a problem their team hasn’t had the time or experience to solve: outages that keep coming back, a migration nobody owns, or a big decision that needs an honest outside view.
Who will I work with?
Campion Fellin, the founder, who does both the technical thinking and the engineering. There are no account managers or junior handoffs in between.
Where is it based?
Madison Park in Seattle, Washington. We also work with organizations outside Seattle.
How do I start?
Send an email with a few sentences about the problem: what’s been difficult, what you’ve tried, and what a good outcome looks like. From there, we shape the engagement around your problem and your team.
